The adventure begins in Antigua Guatemala

During the early morning hours, our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Antigua Guatemala and transfer you to La Aurora International Airport. From there, you will board a flight of approximately one hour to Flores, Petén.

Upon arrival at Mundo Maya International Airport, our guide and driver will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name to begin the tour to Tikal National Park.

Exploring the majestic city of Tikal

After approximately an hour's drive, we will arrive in Tikal, one of the most important and powerful cities of the ancient Mayan civilization. Your tickets will be prepared in advance so you can enter comfortably and make the most of your visit.

Accompanied by a specialized guide, you will explore ceremonial squares, temples, palaces and ancient causeways while discovering the history, architecture and legacy of this extraordinary city.

During the tour, you will visit iconic sites such as the Great Plaza, Temple I (also known as the Great Jaguar Temple), and Temple II, known as the Temple of the Masks. We will also visit the area of Temple IV, from where you can admire one of the most breathtaking views of the Petén rainforest.

At the end of the visit, we will enjoy lunch at a restaurant located within Tikal National Park.

Yaxhá and the sunset over the lagoon

After lunch we will continue to Yaxhá, located approximately one hour from Tikal. Surrounded by jungle and lagoons, this ancient Mayan city offers a more tranquil, natural, and deeply special atmosphere.

During the tour you will see its main squares, causeways, ceremonial complexes and monumental structures while our guide explains the political and religious importance that Yaxhá had during the Classic Mayan period, as well as its relationship with other great cities in the region.

The experience culminates at the majestic Temple 216, from where we will contemplate how the sun god, K'inich Ajaw, It descends slowly over the horizon and Yaxhá Lagoon. An unforgettable scene accompanied by the sounds of the jungle as evening falls.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Mundo Maya International Airport to board your flight to Guatemala City. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Antigua Guatemala.

08:30 AM – Arrival in Tikal and we begin the tour

12:30 PM —End of the tour and we headed to a restaurant for the respective lunch.

02:00 PM –Board a bus to go to Yaxhá

02:40 PM –Arrival to Yaxhá and we start with the sunset tour

06:00 PM End of the tour and we board a vehicle to return to Mundo Maya Airport in Flores (We recommend doing web check-in with the airline)

08:30 PM Flight from Flores to Guatemala City

09:30 PM Arrival in Guatemala City and transfer to your hotel in Antigua Guatemala
