DESCRIPTION
WHAT TO EXPECT!
Our guide/pilot will pick you up at the door of your hotel. We recommend starting at 4:30 AM in Guatemala City, this way you will make the most of your time. We will have breakfast (not included) on the route to taste the local food. Then we will board a vehicle that will take us to Atitlán where we will enjoy the visit to 2 of the magical towns. After 3 hours we will arrive at Lake Atitlán and begin the tour. We will stop at some viewpoints to observe how the mighty lake comes into view. On the road we will be able to observe the crops of the Guatemalan highlands, where we will see crops of carrots, broccoli, cabbage, corn and many other varieties that are exported to countries such as the USA, Canada and Europe. We will arrive at the town of Sololá where we will appreciate the particularity of the man's suit that hides the Bat or Tzotz, one of the Mayan deities. The name is a Hispanicized form of its pre-Columbian name, one of whose spelling variants is Tz'olojya. Just 15 minutes from here we will arrive at the departmental capital called San Francisco de Panajachel, called by the Guatemalans simply as "Pana", we will go to the main dock to board our boat, which will take us on our tour to visit 3 of the more than 14 towns that exist around the lake (mistakenly, people say that there are 12 towns with the names of the 12 apostles). We will visit the towns of: San Juan and San Pedro la Laguna.
We board the vehicle and head towards Chichicastenango, a fascinating town for its picturesque market, the largest in the region, where you can take a tour with your guide while he tells the history of the place. At the end, we board the vehicle to take you to your hotel in Guatemala City.
