When you book your Yaxha sunset adventure with our exclusive group tour, we will pick you up at your hotel at 12:30 pm. After your lunch we will board the vehicle and after 1 hour and 30 minutes of driving to get to the site, we will begin our tour where we will walk the main trails that connect with different ancient Mayan temples.

It was the capital of an extensive territory that dominated the northeastern part of Petén, although it had very strong ties with the city of Tikal, Caracol, in Belize, and Calakmul in Mexico. It has monumental complexes with pyramidal temples, Acropolis, twin pyramid complexes, commemorative complexes, Ball Games, palaces and domestic residential complexes.

The Park has an extension of 37,760 ha. In the park there are numerous cities, being the main ones besides Yaxha, Topoxte, Nakum and Naranjo; which played a very important role in the social and political organization of the central lowlands for more than 1,500 years.

The park is a refuge that allows you to appreciate a balanced combination of biodiversity and pre-Hispanic cultural heritage. Due to the presence of impressive lagoons and wetlands that are part of the main migratory bird routes, the park has been recognized as a wetland of world importance (RAMSAR). The Yaxhá and Sacnab lagoons can be seen from the top of several archaeological monuments, giving the area a unique scenic beauty.

 12:30 PM– We pick you up at your hotel

 02:00 PM– We arrive at Yaxha and start the walk

 04:30 PM– We ascend to Temple 216 (Red Hands) to observe the sunset on the horizon.

 06:30 PM– End of the tour and we begin the return to Flores

08:00 PM– We arrived in Flores

• For this tour there must be a minimum number of people, if they do not arrive, a new date will be given without any surcharge.
• If the minimum number is not reached on the given dates, you will be notified 72 hours before the tour and the respective refund will be made for the total paid.
• Change of destination without surcharge. If it has the same value and availability. Notify us 72 hours before your tour.
• Guide in French and Italian has an extra cost.

Cancellations

• Cancellations less than 4 days before the tour you get a 50% refund.
• Cancellations 48 hours before the tour have no refund.
• Not showing up for the tour. It has no refund.
• Any cancellation of reservations for holidays, Easter, New Years, have no refund
• Request changes in itinerary during a service, is subject to extra charges.
