DESCRIPTION
WHAT TO EXPECT!
Our guide/pilot will pick you up at the door of your hotel. We recommend starting at 05:00 AM in the city and at 06:00 AM in Antigua, because this way you will make the most of your time. In the mornings, the landscape of the lake can be found clearer, both for aerial views and for your boat ride. On the way we will make a stop at a typical restaurant on the road to have our breakfast. We will stop at some viewpoints to observe how the impotent lake is present to our sight. On the road we will be able to observe the crops of the Guatemalan highlands, where we will appreciate carrot, broccoli, cabbage, corn and many other varieties that are exported to countries such as the USA, Canada and Europe. We will arrive at the town of Sololá where we will appreciate the particularity of the man's suit that hides the Bat or Tzotz, one of the Mayan deities. The name is a Hispanicized form of its pre-Columbian name, one of whose spelling variants is Tz'olojya. Just 15 minutes from here we will arrive at the departmental capital called San Francisco de Panajachel, called by Guatemalans simply as "Pana", we will go to the main pier to board our boat, which will take us on our tour to see 3 towns. of the more than 14 that exist around the lake (mistakenly, people count that there are 12 towns with the names of the 12 apostles). We will visit the towns of: Santiago, San Juan and San Pedro la Laguna.
After noon we will return to Panajachel to have lunch or if you decide, ask the guide to recommend a restaurant in one of the towns that are visited. Upon returning to Panajachel you will have a short walk through the main street called Santander where most of the hotels, restaurants and shops are located. Late in the afternoon, you will begin your return to your hotel (Antigua or Guatemala City).
