TERMS AND CONDITIONS
TIKAL EXPEDITION TOURS & TRAVELS
It is very important that you read our Booking Conditions, Terms and Conditions carefully before making your reservation at TIKAL EXPEDITION. When you make a reservation with us, you warrant that you have the authority to accept, individually and on behalf of your group, the terms of these Booking Conditions.
SERVICE CONTRACT
- A service contract with TIKAL EXPEDITION begins after a booking confirmation email or document has been issued. This occurs after TIKAL EXPEDITION receives full payment for the booked tour.
- By purchasing any of the services offered by TIKAL EXPEDITION, the client accepts and acknowledges the Booking Conditions, Terms and Conditions.
PRICING INFORMATION
- All prices are per person and are set in US dollars USD$.
- Flight fares to Flores are dynamic and subject to change. They must be confirmed in advance.
- The prices for the services offered only include what is specified in the "Inclusions/Exclusions" section found in each of the Tours, Itineraries and/or Quotes.
- The price of the services offered does not include visas, airport taxes, exchange rates and/or entry and exit taxes, vaccination certificates, unspecified food, "extras" such as coffee, wine, spirits, mineral water, special diets, unless expressly agreed otherwise, laundry and ironing of clothes, optional hotel services, and in general, any other service that is not expressly listed in the section "The price of the Tour or Package includes" or is not specifically detailed in the itinerary.
- Prices for services provided are subject to change without notice.
AIRLINES
- The client accepts that Tikal Expedition acts only as an intermediary and releases the Tour Operator from any liability in the event of changes in equipment, schedules, flight cancellations, among others, by the airlines.
- The client accepts that Tikal Expedition, as an intermediary, is not in a position to issue refunds or replacement services in the event of breach of contract by the airlines.
- Any additional expenses resulting from the airlines' breach of contract (such as flight cancellations, schedule changes, equipment changes, flight operations cessation, and other similar expenses) will be borne solely by the customer or must be negotiated directly with the airline.
- Helicopter Tours: All sales are final and incur cancellation penalties. The customer must negotiate any compensation directly with the airline or company.
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
- Tikal Expedition reserves the right to hire the type of vehicle it deems most appropriate for each of the services offered, taking into account the destination and the number of passengers.
- Weather conditions, inconveniences caused by natural causes, damage and/or any other fortuitous or unforeseen cause beyond the control of Tikal Expedition may cause delays and/or cancellation of visits, which will not imply under any circumstances any type of obligation or responsibility on the part of Tikal Expedition.
HOTEL SERVICES
- Tikal Expedition, as a tour operator, reserves the right to book domestic and international hotels based on the category chosen by the clients.
- The planned hotels are subject to availability. If the planned hotel is unavailable, a similar hotel of the same category and quality will be provided, with prior notice to the guest of the change.
- If for any reason, at check-in, the guest is dissatisfied with the hotel they have chosen, Tikal Expedition is not responsible for changes or refunds.
- The usual check-in time is 11:00 a.m. and check-out time is 1:00 p.m.
- In the event of cancellation by the client, Tikal Expedition and the client must adhere to the cancellation policies of the accommodation providers.
NO SHOW CONSIDERATIONS
- Any cancellation must be notified via email and confirmed by Tikal Expedition. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
- For trips scheduled for December 20th through January 5th, Holy Week, and Guatemalan Holidays. Cancellations must be made 30 days in advance; otherwise, cancellations will be subject to a 100% penalty.
- No-Show: A passenger will be considered a no-show if they fail to show up for any reason or are late for their departure. This situation does not result in a refund for their trip. Failure to show up for any of the services.
- Airline tickets and helicopter tours are subject to airline policies. We do not issue refunds upon issuing or booking one of these services.
RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATIONS
- Services not provided due to a matter of force majeure attributable to Tikal Expedition or our collaborators will be reimbursed or compensated with a service of equal cost to that of the omitted service.
- The agency or passenger agrees that Tikal Expedition is not responsible for any alteration or omission of services offered due to circumstances beyond its control: natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, or any other unpredictable natural phenomenon; as well as social problems, strikes, demonstrations, or accidents in general. In such cases, the omitted service is non-refundable.
- To provide better service and safety to passengers, Tikal Expedition reserves the right to alter the program to overcome any difficulties that may arise.
- Tikal Expedition will not be liable for any injury or damage to any passenger or for any claim arising from acts of passive or active negligence. The agency or passenger expressly releases and discharges Tikal Expedition from any and all claims.
- Tikal Expedition reserves the right to refuse, accept, or retain any person from a tour. If a participant withdraws from a tour, no refund will be given.
- Tikal Expedition reserves the right to cancel a tour in cases of force majeure or if we determine that a client does not meet the physical or mental conditions necessary to participate in the experience, even if they initially accepted the reservation.
